This program is rescue in nature. Essentially it is a community pantry, open to the community on a daily basis. We handle emergency cases from Camden County Board of Social Services. Also, we serve clients from numerous other social service agencies in the city as well. Each 3rd Saturday, we mass distribute food, clothing, prayer and counseling to the community. A positive motivational message is given to inspire dreams and hope for those who are experiencing difficult situations in life.
Our agency is considered significant with a client base of nearly 500 strong. Our annual feedings come in around 5,000 and largely supported with an annual USDA grant averaging $22,000.00. Educating children is increasingly difficult if the children are hungry; our food pantry is strategic as it provides fresh vegetables, fruits and whole grains to families in need.
