This program fosters an environment where entrepreneurial dreams are pursued in the context of building an economy that strengthens inner-city communities. Our efforts to support local business development will create hope for our youth; as it gives youth a strong positive visual of adult entrepreneurs in the community operating businesses which contribute to society. Successful business people become role models and potential mentors for youth in our communities; not to mention the financial benefit it potentially adds to their families. Therefore, it is strategic in nature; as this program supports local small business development, it also contributes to the long-term mission of our X-IT Youth program.
Nex-Level entrepreneurs meet bi-monthly for a free breakfast and networking session where local businesses attend and network their services with other local business and fortune 500 companies. Guest speakers are invited to speak on various topics of interest pertinent to specific small business issues. It is well reported that businesses in the network have entered contracts with each other since we initiated this program; and are currently doing business with each other.
Our mission is to:
·Foster a safe environment for networking (net-weaving)
·Help businesses build capacity for growth
·Encourage & support start up business activity
Offer a school of entrepreneurship
