Community redevelopment is an important factor in our church's focus and vision for the area. The nieghborhoods in the vacinity of the church are in great need of physical redevelopment and revitilization.
The scriptures declare:
“And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places”. (Isaiah 32:18) “And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.” (Isaiah 61:4)
In a variety of ways we are having an impact in our area. For well over a decade we have provided ministry in the Camden County Jail System; teaching and mentoring inmates in the word of God, and encouraging them to break the cycle of criminal behavior. Each week we hold homogeneous support groups for individuals, adding to their spiritual and character development.
The current economic conditions in the city posses an enormous challenge for our youth and as a result our church sponsors Youth Entrepreneurial Camps. These camps serve to wet the entrepreneur appetites of our youth, they learn all aspects of the business development process over a weekend. These camps are extraordinary and exciting.
We encourage corporate sponsorship in this activity, as we are confident that it will save lives and strengthen communities.
